
A backup of your company data should be taken at regular intervals, depending on the amount of activity, possibly every day. It can also be a good idea to take backups at specific points like before running a Month End, Year End, or upgrading the version of Sage 50.
If a problem occurs during any procedure, such as a power failure or network disconnect, you have a working copy of the current company data.
This example shows backing up to a folder on the local hard disk. However, it would be far better to backup to an external location, such as a USB flash drive or a network server.
